I’m a good software engineer. The one next to me just pushed something into production without testing. I have to clean up after him now. It cost me my holidays.
I’m a the better software engineer - despite us having the same academic degree hanging on our walls. I’m better at analyzing problems, at weighing advantages and disadvantages of different approaches, at breaking down and simplifying problem. I find solutions faster, learn quicker and retain knowledge better. I have no problems with complex systems and architectures and my code is cleaner.
I’m wrong: I’m not the better software engineer - but I’m definitely the worse human!
